The Client

This fintech company is a leading provider of online payment solutions. They offer a range of products and services, including payment processing, digital wallets, and fraud detection, catering to businesses of all sizes. Despite being a well-established player in the industry, they wanted to increase their online brand visibility and drive more B2B sign-ups.

The Strategy

The company partnered with us to develop a comprehensive organic search SEO strategy. The strategy focused on optimizing the website for relevant keywords, creating high-quality content, improving the overall user experience, and acquiring solid links. We found prioritizing UX was more essential than ever, since Google search is now infiltrated with AI spam/content.

The Campaign

  1. Keyword Research and Optimization: We conducted extensive keyword research specific to the fintech and online payment industry. This included analyzing search volumes, competition, and user intent to identify the most relevant keywords. We then optimized their website content, meta tags, and headings to include these keywords.
  2. Content Creation: They already had a blog section but no solid content strategy. We revamped their blog section and published regular articles related to online payment solutions, industry trends, and customer success stories.
  3. Technical SEO: We performed a thorough audit of the company’s website to identify and fix any technical issues that could affect its search engine rankings. This included improving site speed, fixing broken links, and optimizing the site’s mobile responsiveness. We de-indexed a lot of auto-generated pages. This helps us cement their overall site better with the recent Helpful Content Update (HCU) from Google. Another strange thing we noticed (and fixed) was that Google was automatically picking up older dates for published content just beacause it was mentioned near the recently updated date.
  4. Link Building: To improve their authority in the fintech industry, we implemented a content-led link building strategy. This involved acquiring high-quality backlinks from reputable websites in the fintech and e-commerce sectors. We leveraged our existing partnerships and also did custom manual outreach to handpick the sites. We had quite some success with acquiring links to industry trends reports and internally linked those pages to key pages.
  5. Local SEO: While the company operated globally, we also optimized their Google My Business profile and created local business listings in key markets to attract more localized organic traffic.

The Results

After implementing our custom strategies, the fintech company saw a significant increase in website traffic. Their website’s organic search traffic increased by 2234%. Additionally, the company’s website now ranks on the first page of Google for several high-volume keywords related to online payment solutions.
